Dr. Adrian Camia Faulkner-White is a highly accomplished professional with a wealth of expertise in mental health, particularly in the context of juvenile justice and marginalized communities. As a licensed psychotherapist and sought after subject matter expert consultant in juvenile justice, she plays a pivotal role as the Health Services Program Manager for the District of Columbia’s Department of Youth and Rehabilitation Services. In this capacity, she ensures that court-involved youth have access to essential mental health support.
When Dr. Faulkner-White is not in the office, she is a dedicated pioneer in helping to identify alternative approaches to incarceration tailored for reluctant learners, as a Principal Researcher and Consultant contributing to the evolution of effective and humane solutions within the criminal justice system. Since her career move from Chicago to DC in 2017, she has served as Board Secretary for Hillcrest Children and Family Center, is currently the co-chair for the mental health and activity force, has conducted a number of workshops and trainings related to mental health equity and disparities, and have organized annual outreach events to bring awareness to mental health. Dr. Faulkner-White has a BA degree in Psychology from Western Illinois University, a MA in Community Counseling from Argosy University, and an EdD in Counselor Education and Supervision.
When Dr. Faulkner-White is not being an engaged mentor to her high-school and collegiate mentees, she is busy managing her family's business, is a loving wife and caregiver, enjoys planning and engaging in social events with friends, and is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated. Dr. Faulkner-White is also a die-hard sports lover and is a devoted fan of women's basketball.
